The Christmas season is at hand, and it’s time to have a break and enjoy the holiday with our families and friends without any rush.
Without realising it, you can’t fail to think that we’ve hit the end of 2018 which has been a great year with plenty of achievements, developments and wonderful meetings and events for the Coctio team.
2018 is the year we’ll remember as hard work pays off and two new modern bone broth and sauce manufacturing plants with a Coctio broth line started operating - one with our standard size modules and the other with small size modules.
It was especially rewarding to experience the opening of the Salsus factory and launch of your great-tasting bone stock and sauce products. We want to thank Salsus team for showcasing the factory to our customers and all those delicious taste experiences together with you and our customers!
We are also highly delighted with the completion of Coctio broth and sauce production line for our Finnish customer Sooci Oy. This line based on our Small size modules was just commissioned in December, and the system release was held in this week. It’s been a pleasure to prove the great work of Sooci’s product development team and to see the first culinary products being manufactured. We’re looking forward ramping the customer into full production right from the beginning of 2019. Read more about the Sooci's operation from our case study that will be published shortly.
During 2018, we started building out the global partner network by agreeing on the partnership with Compass in Turkey and YBAC for Chile and adjacent markets. Through collaboration, Compass and YBAC will be our local representatives to strengthen the promotion and sale of Coctio branded solutions and services and to provide the best service to our customers in these territories. Looking forward to 2019 with existing and new partners in our partner network, we're heading to deepen cooperation and targeting activities more widely to the local market.
We were delighted with the outcome of Anuga FoodTec 2018 with a high number of trade visitors and the numerous exciting discussions. The fair provided us with a great opportunity to present Coctio bone broth solutions and expertise to numerous food companies and industry representatives from all over the world. The coming year 2019 will bring along more food and meat industry trade fairs and other events – stay tuned for further details!
Going into 2019, we expect to see the bone broth category to tap into the megatrends in the food industry for healthy, high protein and collagen products, as essential amino acids and collagen peptides have gained mainstream interest over the past year.
In 2019, our team is looking forward to continuing to inspire the food companies and newcomers in discovering the many uses of nutrient-dense bone broth ingredient and developing indulgence tasting broth-based applications that align with the massive trend in clean label, functional foods and beverages and driving sales in supplements and nutraceuticals industry as well among pet food industry.
